Ventilation Validation
Part F of the Building Regulations 2019 requires that ventilation systems are designed and commissioned by competent persons, to provide adequate and effective means of ventilation and that all ventilation systems are to be validated by an NSAI registered person in accordance with I.S EN 14134:2019, Ventilation for Buildings-Performance testing and installation checks of residential ventilation systems. This validation is to be carried out post commissioning in order to ensure that the dwelling is being adequately ventilated whilst minimising energy use and environmental problems such as noise and thermal discomfort.
